Join Our Squadron
Who Can Join
Anyone age 12 through 18 can join Civil Air Patrol as a cadet.
Adults age 18 and over can join Civil Air Patrol as a senior members.
How to Join
It is required that you attend at least 3 of our weekly meetings, and meet with our membership committee to answer any last-minute questions before joining.
The squadron meets every Thursday evening, year-round (except holidays.)

Start Time: Promptly at 1830 hours (6:30 PM) and continues until 2030 hours (8:30 PM).

Major Prekop is the current Commander of Lewis Composite Squadron. Her passion is mentoring the next generation of cadets. She began her CAP career over 10 years ago as a Mother looking to get her son engaged in a program where life skills were taught in many different facets. CAP has been the cornerstone of her passion in working with young teens, as well as developing herself throughout the program. On her free time, she is a fulltime employee working for a consulting firm and is an avid volunteer in many other organizations.
Meeting Cancellation
Should a meeting be canceled, a notification will appear on the home page. All attempts will be made to post the notification before 1800 hours (6 PM). The squadron policy is for all members to check the home page prior to departing for the meeting.
Meeting Format
The general format of a meeting night is depicted in the table below. The format may vary at times depending upon the needs of the classes or activities. The format will be used by both officers and cadets.
Four times a year, a month will have five Thursdays. On those fifth Thursdays of the month, the squadron will try to have a special activity and the format below will likely not apply.
UNIFORM of the Day: Please refer to the Squadron Calendar for uniform specification each week
FOR VISITORS OR NEW CADETS: Please wear a white-collar shirt, black pants, black shoes and socks
